Camera surveillance policy JumpYard Portugal

+ -

At JumpYard, we are always working to improve. An important part of our improvement work is our camera surveillance, through which we can, for example, learn from accidents that occur in order to know how to prevent them in the future.

JumpYard parks are equipped with camera surveillance to increase the safety and security of our customers, our employees, and to protect our property. Surveillance is carried out:

In the park—or in other areas where activities take place—to capture incidents of injury with the aim of:

  • Learning more about how and why accidents and injuries occur so that they can be prevented.
  • Use recorded incidents for insurance, healthcare, and/or educational purposes.
  • Monitor employee actions before, during, and after accidents for improvement and training purposes.
  • At the entrance and reception, with the aim of increasing security and to be able to monitor possible assaults, robberies, or thefts.

Summary JumpYard strives to be open and transparent in how it collects, processes, and shares your personal data. As a supplement to our Data Protection Policy, we have established this camera surveillance policy for our parks in the EU/EEA (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iberia). The legislation governing how camera surveillance may take place is established by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is also regulated in Sweden by the Camera Surveillance Act.

Our parks are equipped with video surveillance cameras and, in some cases, audio recording devices. If a person can be identified from the recording, the recording constitutes personal data.

The purpose of camera surveillance and the processing of recorded material is to prevent and investigate crimes, accidents, and vandalism, as well as, where applicable, to assist the police and the public prosecutor’s office in cases of suspected or confirmed crime. The purpose of camera surveillance is to increase the safety and security of our customers and employees and to protect our property.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data in the context of camera surveillance is the so-called ‘balance of interests’ in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. We have assessed that the need for camera surveillance outweighs the possible invasion of personal privacy that this may represent for you as a customer. Our assessment was made with particular consideration to the fact that accidents occur that we want to prevent in order to provide the safest possible experience in our parks. In addition, we ensure that only a limited number of people have access to the recorded material and that it will be used exclusively for the purposes mentioned above.

+ -

The recorded material is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the recording was collected in accordance with this policy, however, for a maximum period of 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted. We may retain the material for longer than 30 days if necessary to comply with legal requirements or to defend legal interests, for example, if there is ongoing legal proceedings.

+ -

Your personal privacy is very important to us. We ensure that only a limited number of employees have access to the recorded material. Your data may also be processed by so-called personal data processors, i.e., companies we hire for security services, camera systems, error reporting, and customer support. These parties may not use your personal data for any purpose other than to provide the services for which they have been hired and only under the terms we specify.

The recorded material is stored in countries approved in accordance with the GDPR. The data may also be processed by the police, for example, in the event of a police report or compliance with legal proceedings.

+ -

As a customer, you have the right to know what personal data we hold and to request that existing information be changed or deleted. In addition, you have the right to request that we restrict the processing of your personal data and the right to object to the processing thereof.
